 I was very fortunate to begin working with several South African Knife Makers many years ago, I am continually impressed with the Quality of their knives and the value they offer.  In my journey as a knife dealer several SA Makers have introduced me to other SA Makers and the list of quality knives that I sell from that country continues to grow.  

The newest addition to my website is South African Knife Makers Guild member Willem Steenkamp.  

Willem says, “My goal in knife-making is to improve my skills on every knife I make.  I endeavor to learn as much as I can from other knife–makers that have the same interests as I have.”

I have said it before, I am always impressed with the craftsmanship and value that Willem offers in his knives.  This is a beautiful multi purpose Drop Point – a perfect sized EDC Fixed blade with an upscale finish.  

This is a Full Tang knife, the sleek 1/8″ thick Bohler Uddeholm Nc690 Stainless steel blade has a very high Hollow Grind. It has a very High Satin finish, a fine point and is Razor Sharp! 

Nc690 steel is quickly gaining popularity with American Makers, it is a very clean Austrian steel with a nice amount of Chromium to make it nearly maintenance free.  

The handle scales are Stabilized Redwood Burl with tons of “Eyes” and lots of natural grain and color.  Red accented Mosiac Pin and also, Willem has added some very nice Hourglass Filework on the Spine of the blade that doubles as comfortable Thumb Ridges. 

Provided with a thick Right Hand Leather Belt Sheath, the knife fits deep and securely, no chance of the knife accidentally falling out.  This knife will ride comfortably on your belt anywhere you go.
