 I was very fortunate to begin working with several South African Knife Makers many years ago, I am continually impressed with the Quality of their knives and the value they offer.  In my journey as a knife dealer several SA Makers have introduced me to other SA Makers and the list of quality knives that I sell from that country continues to grow.  

The newest addition to my website is South African Knife Makers Guild member Johann van Deventer.  His work has been featured in SA magazines devoted to Hunting but recently he has also worked hard at making folding knives of various kinds.

This little gem is a Full Tang Integral design with some artistically shaped, beautiful Desert Ironwood Overlays.  This personal sized knife was hand ground from Bohler Uddeholm M690 Stainless steel.  This steel is a very clean Austrian steel with a nice amount of Chromium to make it nearly maintenance free.  Here is a link to more info on the steel – https://www.bucorp.com/knives.htm

The knife has a two tone finish, the flats are near Mirror Polished and the bevels have a high Satin finish.      

Provided with a thick Kydex Neck Sheath, the sheath has a very neat design concept in that the wearer has to tilt the knife backward in the sheath in order to easily extract it, no chance of the knife accidentally falling out.
