~ Direct from the Maker ~

At the last show, Hiroaki brought me more of this Friction Folder ~ each is Hand Made and Signed on the Frame.  These are also special in that Hiroaki used tough D2 Steel for the Blade!

Friction Folder is the oldest of folding knife designs, ancient Viking Age Friction Folders (or Penny Knives as they were called ) have recently been discovered in Rome where they were a standard item for men of wealth and privilege!

This example by Hiroaki has an Integral handle, carved from a SINGLE PIECE of Cocobolo

It has a very smooth action, the D2 blade has no play in any direction and the handle fits in the palm very comfortably.

When opened, the extended Tang rests on top of the One Piece Cocobolo Handle.

This knife also includes a paracord lanyard and bead.

Hiroaki hand signs each knife.

Hiroaki makes his own Leather Pocket Sheaths for every knife, well stitched and holds the knife securely. This knife comes with a Black Leather slip sheath.

A wonderful knife that will appeal to anyone who enjoys a Traditional / Quality product.
