This is a Rare Pattern from Herb, I have offered very few of these in the last several years ~ this is Herb’s Large Cowboy Clip Point pattern.
This special knife has Herb’s Hand Forged Birds Eye Damascus which is over 2,500 layers thick and a Large Fossilized Oosic handle.
This blade has an Traditional Clip Point shape with a Distal Taper. The handle has a Dual Nickel Silver Guard in front of the Stabilized California Buckeye spacer. Herb also added some Hand applied File Work to the Spine of the blade, from the Guard all the way to the Clip.
The knife has a comfortable Full Grip handle of Fossilized Oosic. The Oosic (also known as baculum) is used for copulation in a variety of very large underwater species of animals. A very unique material that was thousands of years in the making!
This is an amazing combination of materials and a Unique Sole Authorship piece from Herb.
The Heavy Leather Belt sheath has a Full Length Snake Skin inlay and it has a Removable Belt Loop so that the Sheath can also be carried in the Boot! Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
