Of all the knives that I purchased from Herb at the Blade show this is the most unique, the largest Skinner that Herb makes in his rare Mosaic Damascus.  The etch is deep and shows the incredible Mosaic pattern perfectly.

Herb’s Mosaic Damascus on this impressive Skinner is over  1  1/2″ Wide and has over 2,500 layers.  The handle is made from Fossilized Sea Cow Rib bone.  Herb has worked with the natural shape of the Fossil to narrow the handle near the Finger Guard but leave it very thick at the butt, the handle measures over 4  1/2″ in diameter.  The Rib Bone has beautiful natural colors and intricate grain. 

 The Rib Bone handle is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a gorgeous Stabilized Spalted Maple Burl spacer for color.  This knife has an amazing blending of rare natural materials.

 The Leather sheath has an exotic Ostrich Skin inlay and Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath. Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
