Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

Hunting Season is coming fast, this knife has high contrast Sole Authorship Random Pattern Damascus. This is a great looking knife knife with artistic attributes, but I guarantee it will perform as good as it looks
This special knife has Herb’s Hand Forged ~ High Carbon Ladder Back Pattern Damascus that is over 2,500 layers thick. If you look closely near the Guard you can just make out Herb’s Makers Mark Stamp.
This example has a Unique Fossilized Stellar Sea Cow Rib Bone handle. This material is very Dense and has beautiful Rich Natural Mineral Deposits that create a One of Kind Grain and a wonderful swell from the Mid Line to the back that fills the hand nicely! The Rib Bone is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a thick Stabilized Spalted Maple spacer for color.

On this knife Herb has also added some Vine Filework on the Spine which looks great but has a dual purpose of also replacing Thumb Ridges for grip enhancement.
A beautiful knife with some great handle material that is almost gone from today’s market.
The Heavy Leather RH Belt sheath has an African Ostrich Skin inlay. The knife rides snug and deep to prevent loss.
