I was very fortunate to begin working with several South African Knife Makers many years ago, I am continually impressed with the Quality of their knives and the value they offer. In my journey as a knife dealer several SA Makers have introduced me to other SA Makers and the list of quality knives that I sell from that country continues to grow.
Willem says, “My goal in knife-making is to improve my skills on every knife I make. I endeavor to learn as much as I can from other knife–makers that have the same interests as I have.”

This is one of Willem Steenkamp’s newest Flipper Designss ~
the Tarpon
The blade was hand ground from tough N690 Stainless steel which Willem gave a beautiful High Satin finish. The handle is a Custom Milled Carbon Fiber that is nicely contoured to fit the Hand.
Perfect Detent, just a bit of pressure on the flipper mechanism causes the blade to Leap into the Open and Locked Position! Incredible action that will bring a smile to your Face!
On this design Willem has Contoured the Frame to drop toward the front to allow for close up grip of the blade. He also added an Orange G10 Pivot collar for a pop of color.
The action on this highly polish blade is super smooth, it locks open early and securely and makes this slim folder a good choice for any all around cutting chore.
