A few years ago during the chaos that is the Blade Show, I was intent to meet world renowned Knife Maker Claudio Sobral of CAS knives. After talking with Claudio he introduced me to his good friend, also a Knife Maker ~ and that Maker was Mariano Yannoni. I was thrilled to see that Mariano still had a few knives on his table, so after speaking with him and inspecting his knives ~ I purchased everything Mariano had left! I am very proud to be able to offer his knives to my Customers.

Mariano Yannoni is clearly a Maker who enjoys Hand Crafting Solid Working knives ~ from Custom Fixed Blade Hunters to Robust Friction Folders. This is an Elegant but Wicked Boot Knife. Hand Crafted with a beautiful Textured Ebony Handle and Hand Forged 1095 Steel Blade.
The 1095 Blade was Forged to Shape and then Hand Ground by Mariano with a near Perfect, Full Height Flat Grind. It is 1″ Wide at the base and has a Labor Intensive Hand Rubbed finish and and an expert Differential Heat Treatment as evidenced by the Amazing Hamon on the blade. This type of Heat Treat greatly increases the strength of the blade by providing a Razor Sharp 60-61 Rc edge but leaves the Spine softer.
The handle has Surface texture and provides a very comfortable near Full Size Grip. The addition of the Double Integral Guard provides extra security in both the Forward and Reverse grip.
