I was lucky enough to receive this one from Mr Pease recently ~ this special knife has amazing Materials and Craftsmanship.
This is a Classic Clip Point and it reflects both the art and the skill that Mr Pease has worked for decades to master.
The Blade has a Full Height Hollow Grind and a Labor Intensive Hand Rubbed Finish. The blade is discreetly engraved with the Mr Pease’s unique serial numbering system.
This gorgeous knife also has handle scales of Musk Ox Antlers
Musk Oxen were once plentiful and found in the US as far South as Kansas. However, they now only roam in Canada and some have been reintroduced to Greenland and Russia. The Horn Scales have been Stabilized and they have beautiful Natural Color and Grain. It is a wonderful subtle match to the Striking Blue, Green and Gold colors on the Abalone Spacer and Mokume Bolster.
Amazing fit and finish have long been Mr Pease’s calling card. This knife also features a Deeply Tapered Tang which most Makers no longer even offer.
Both sides of this beautiful knife are extremely well matched.
The Crucible Particle Metallurgy CPM-154 blade has a precision Grind with an immaculate hand rubbed finish and Razor Sharp cutting edge.
And of course the Thick, Bridle Leather RH Belt sheath (also made by Mr Pease) holds the knife snugly and securely.
