Michael Szczegot is a young maker from Poland. Known for his Rugged Outdoor, Hunting and Tactical designs, this example of his work showcases his talent.
This is the Szczegot Tracker Model ~ the FIRST TIME I have ever featured this model!
The Hand Ground blade on this Szczegot Tracker was crafted from O2 steel and given a Cryogenic Quench. This steel has properties that make it unique among High Carbon Steels. It excels at Toughness and is widely known as a Superior Performer. It has a good amount of Carbon and a Higher Chromium content plus the addition of Vanadium for Stain Resistance. Given an Expert Heat Treat and Cryogenic Quench by Michael, it will excel at Edge Retention.
The blade measures a respectable 5mm Thick and is 2″ Wide at the widest point. It has a Tough Acid Wash finish
The Handle Scales are a supremely Tough Black Micarta that have a Custom Hand Sculpted Surface texture for an enhanced grip. The Scales are attached with Torx Screws and Michael gave the the handle a Contoured Hand Filling Shape.
This is a knife that will tackle all Difficult Cutting or Light Camp chores with ease.
The Szczegot Tracker comes with a Secure, Custom Molded Kydex Belt Sheath
The Removable Cordura / Kydex Drop Loop allows you to change / add other Mounting Hardware. A FREE Large Tek-Lok is included. Free Paracord Lanyard also included.
