Traditional Japanese garments—robes called Kimono had no pockets; however, men who wore them needed a place to store their personal belongings, such as pipes, tobacco, money, seals, or medicines.

Their solution was to place such objects in containers (called Sagemono) hung by cords from the robes’ sashes. The containers may have been pouches or small woven baskets, but the most popular were beautifully Hand Crafted Wooden Boxes which were held closed with sliding Beads on Cords.

This Johnson Kiridashi EDC ~ an Elegant little Package of a Nesting Wooden Sheath and Hidden Blade. The Sheath may be carried in a Pocket, Purse or Pack with the Cord and wood Beads dangling discreetly outside to assist in quick access.

The Sheath on this Johnson Kiridashi was Hard Carved from Gorgeous Walnut Wood Front and Back with lighter Cherry Wood Side Spacers.  Raymond Fit, Polished and Glued all the parts together in a Seamless union.  During the construction Raymond threaded the 550 Paracord (replaceable) through the Body of the Sheath.

The Keeper Beads and the Sheath Top are Friction Fit and will not allow the Top to accidentally slide open. To access the Hidden Blade, simply Slide the Wooden Bead upward on the Cord, then slide the Bottom of the Sheath Down.

This reveals a Traditional Chisel Ground ATS-34 Blade with extremely Crisp Grinds. Raymond did everything on this knife himself.  This Knife has a G-10 Blade Collar (Habaki) that when properly manipulated allows the Blade to be removed for Cleaning or Sharpening!

The Top of the Sheath allows for a Two Finger Grip with the Cord and Bead resting under the Pinkie.

If you are looking for a Custom blade for discreet carry and you enjoy the Japanese inspired designs then this is the knife for you!

A snug, secure Wooden Decoration that holds a secret only you will know.

I have ONLY ONE in this Configuration ~ Complete with COA
