 I was very fortunate to begin working with several South African Knife Makers many years ago, I am continually impressed with the Quality of their knives and the value they offer.  In my journey as a knife dealer several SA Makers have introduced me to other SA Makers and the list of quality knives that I sell from that country continues to grow.  

The newest addition to my website is South African Knife Makers Guild member Johann van Deventer.  His work has been featured in SA magazines devoted to Hunting but recently he has also worked hard at making folding knives of various kinds.

 I was lucky enough to snag this one of JD’s table, the only one like it he brought to the Show, it is the Ag Man Friction Folder

Light for its size, this big handleful is simple yet extremely unique.  The South African term “Ag Man” means OH MAN in english, and once you hold this knife that is what you will say.

The Razor Sharp Dual Ground blade was hand ground from Bohler Uddeholm M-390 Stainless steel.  This steel is a very clean Austrian steel with a nice amount of Chromium to make it nearly maintenance free, the Satin finish will allow the knife to be used and still look new.     

The handles are Aqua Blue Linen Micarta with Ocean Wave texture. Johann has applied some contoured Thumb Ridges to the spine of the Extended Tang, very comfortable. The Stick Tang resides in the recess when open for a comfortable full handle grip.  

Provided with a Low Rider Pocket Clip.  A unique, tough knife especially valuable where carrying a locking knife is not permitted.
