I hand picked this knife off Hiroaki’s Table and when you see the Handle Material you will know why! This is an amazing knife in design and function, simple yet elegant.
This Custom Slipjoint by Hiroaki has the most beautiful hand carved Presentation grade Rosewood Burl handles that I have seen on one of his knives. The grain is super tight and it has a ton of character.
It has a very smooth action, a firm Half Stop and perfect lock up. Hiroaki makes the handles of his knives slim so that it fits in the hand very comfortably.
The blade is a made from ATS-34 with an RC of 60-61 and the knife has smooth Carbon Fiber Full Length liners, this allows for plenty of strength but a very light weight.
The blade is perfectly centered and operates smoothly, no play in any direction. Hiroaki has added some nice Custom Filework to the back of the Spring.
The Rosewood is very well matched and has a nice high polish to show off the incredible natural Grain and Color.
Hiroaki also makes his own Leather Pocket Sheaths for every knife, well stitched and holds the knife securely.
A wonderful knife that will appeal to anyone who enjoys a Traditional / Quality Slip Joint.
