 I have been a Dealer for Herb Derr Custom knives for over a decade, long before I had a website I sold Herb’s knives at Gun & Knife Shows, most often to repeat Customers.  Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

Herb Forges very few Mosiac Blades each year and this is the FIRST time I have ever offered this Model.  This Hand Forged beauty has a Deep Etch and shows the incredible Damascus Pattern perfectly.

Herb’s Mosaic Damascus blades have over 2,500 layers. With a Wide Blade and a Dramatic Drop Point Tip this great looking knife will perform as good as it looks. 

This knife also has a unique Fileworked Spine that does Double Duty as Thumb Ridges.

  The handle is made from Fossilized Walrus Jaw bone. The Bone has beautiful Natural Colors and intricate grain. 

Herb has worked with the natural shape of the Fossil to narrow the handle near the Finger Guard but leave it plenty thick at the butt, very hand filling and comfortable.  Also note the lovely Quilting on the underside of the Stabilized Curly Maple Forward Spacer.  

A Truly unique Hand Forged blade that will perform as good as it looks.  The Rib Bone handle is flanked by a Nickel Silver Spacer and a gorgeous Stabilized Curly Maple spacer for color. 

   The Thick Custom Leather sheath has an Exotic Lizard Skin Inlay and Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath.
