This is a Rare Pattern from Herb, I have only offered a few of these in the last several years ~ this is Herb’s Cowboy Bowie.      

This Derr Cowboy Bowie has Herb’s Hand Forged Birds Eye Damascus which is over 2,500 layers thick and an Extra Large Walrus Jaw handle. This blade has an Traditional Bowie shape but on this one Herb added a dramatic Swedge / False Edge on the forward spine of the blade!  I have never offered a Derr Cowboy Bowie with a False Edge on the blade before.

Herb also added some Hand applied File Work to the Spine of the blade. The Integral Double Nickel Silver Guard provide extra security in the grip. 

This Derr Cowboy Bowie has an Extra Large Full Grip handle of Walrus Jaw.  The knife also has a Double Nickel Silver Guard in front of the Stabilized Maple Burl spacer.

This is an amazing combination of materials and a Unique Sole Authorship piece from Herb.

 The Heavy Leather Belt sheath has a Full Length Lizard Skin inlay and it has a Removable Belt Loop so that the Sheath can also be carried in the Boot! Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
