  I have been a Dealer for Herb Derr Custom knives for over a decade, long before I had a website I sold Herb’s knives at Knife Shows and Gun Shows, often to repeat Customers.  Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

  I hand picked this beautiful hunter from Herb’s Table, it has his rare high contrast Mosaic Flowing Water Damascus.  This is a very popular Model from Herb, the perfect Size Hunter! 

  This Carbon Damascus is over 1,200 layers thick.  The
Stabilized Oosic handle has rich natural color and is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a Stabilized Tan & Black Spalted Maple spacer for color.  The Oosic (also known as baculum) is used for copulation in a variety of very large underwater species of animals.  A very unique material! 

On this knfie Herb has also added some Vine Filework on the Spine which looks great but has a dual purpose of also replacing Thumb Ridges for grip enhancement. 

  The Heavy Leather RH Belt sheath has a Black Ostrich Leg Skin inlay along with Custom Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath. Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
