This is a special knife that caught my eye for several unique features. First is this one has Herb’s High Contrast Flowing Water Damascus blade (over 1,200 layers thick) which Herb doesn’t do very often, then it has the Double Nickel Guard and Black Palm Spacer – both also rare on Herb’s knives.
The Spine of this knife has some Custom Filework that looks great but does double duty as Thumb treads also. The handle is a nicely contoured and beautiful piece of Oosic. Oosic (also known as Baculum) is a bone used to assist in copulation, this particular specimen is from a large Mammal such as Walrus who often reside in frigid waters where a little assistance is appreciated. A unique material indeed.
The Heavy Leather sheath has an African Ostrich Leg Skin inlay and Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath. Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
