  I have been a Dealer for Herb Derr Custom knives for over a decade, long before I had a website I sold Herb’s knives at Gun & Knife Shows, most often to repeat Customers.  Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

I simply cannot keep Herb’s knives In Stock for long, they are renowned for their performance and the price for the artistic quality of the knife just cannot be beat! 

  Here is a wonderful Big Game Drop Point from Herb, this knife has some incredible & rare materials which start with Herb’s Sole Authorship Birdseye Damascus!  

 This is a wonderfully executed Large Drop Point that will make short work of any Med to Large Game skinning chores.  The Forged Damascus blade is 3/16″ Thick and 1  1/4″ Wide!  Herb explained that his high contrast, High Carbon Damascus blades have over 2,500 layers. 

The knife also has a Full Grip handle of rare Ancient Fossilized Walrus Jaw that is VERY unique ~ you can actually see where the Ancient Walrus’ Huge Molars were set into the Jaw. 

On this knife Herb has also added some Vine Filework on almost the entire length of the Spine which looks great but serves a dual purpose of also replacing Thumb Ridges for grip enhancement. 

The handle is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers and a Stabilized Maple  Burl forward spacer which adds a splash of color to the knife.

  The Heavy Leather RH Belt sheath has an exotic African Ostrich Skin inlay along with Custom Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath. Nice snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife. 

This is a great looking knife knife with artistic attributes, but I guarantee it will perform as good as it looks.
