This is a hand carved Royal Bronze Bushido Tag by Derrick Obatake of Steel Flame 

One of Derrick’s most popular pieces, this BUSHIDO Pendant has an excellent patina with highlights.   

 The Designer – Derrick Obatake born and raised in East Los Angeles has been designing and making jewelry for over 35 years. At an early age he was taught to be a machinist by his father. He is a Graduate Gemologist from GIA and has had formal training in traditional jewelry arts: Diamond setting, model making, casting, finishing and fabrication. He has extended experience in Die striking, and 3D CAD design.

This is a beautiful piece with substantial weight, nice thick body! 

Bushidō literally translates to “the way of the warrior”, a Japanese word for the way a Samurai tried to live, loosely analogous to the concept of Chivalry in this time.
