This is Rockstead’s SHU ~ an Elegant / Precision Crafted Titanium Framelock with Mirror Polished DLC Coated Frame that has beautiful Koi etched onto the frame.
A Perfectly Ground Convex Blade of ZDP189 Steel. I have seen thousands of knives ~ Rockstead’s Knives have the most perfect Mirror Polished blades that I have ever seen. This is achieved through a Multi Step Hand Grinding and Hand Buffing process.
Rockstead uses the most modern equipment to maximize the qualities of the Blades – be it the Perfect Grind or the Expert Heat Treat of the Steel!
The blade Floats open Effortlessly, perfect detent and Excellent Secure lock up utilizing the New Button Lock! The Japanese Koi motif is Deeply Engraved on the handles.
The ergonomics on this Knife are wonderful – Thumb Ridges on the Spine and the Frame aid the security but are still very comfortable.
They make only a certain number of each model and every one is Individually Serial Numbered. This one has Linear Traction Ridges along the entire Spine as well as a Hidden Lanyard Hole in the end.
Extremely impressive all the way around, a folder that looks great and would be a pleasure to use.
