They utilize the worlds most advanced machining tools and create parts to amazingly tight tolerances, but their small staff do all processing of the blades by hand. The factory-custom-knife is completely different from the mass-production-knife in quality and fit & finish.

This is a Rare Discontinued model from Rockstead – the Beetle
With a Perfectly Ground blade of YXR7 steel ~ covered in a flawless Polished Diamond Like Carbon Coating (DLC) this knife is a joy to behold. Silky smooth action and near Silent, Bank Vault like Lock up.
One of the aspects of the earlier Rockstead knives is the unique Honzikuri Triple Grind which Rockstead no longer offers ~ the Bevel is shaped into Three Seperate areas.

The blade Floats open effortlessly, perfect detent and excellent secure lock up.
The handles are precision cast Aluminum with a Black/HV400 Surface Coating. Very few of each model are crafted, and each knife has an individual serial number.
This knife is Serial Number #215 of only 300 produced.
The ergonomics on this Knife are wonderful – Traction Ridges on the Frame and Thumb Ridges on the Spine aid the security but are still very comfortable.
The Pocket clip is set for Tip Up carry. Extremely impressive all the way around, a folder that looks great and would be a pleasure to use.
