I was Dew Hara’s first Customer at the Show and I naturally picked the BEST off his Table
Dew Hara is now 41 years old and grew up helping his famous Knife Maker Father, Koji Hara. Koji and Dew are known World Wide for their Art knives with detailed Hand Work and fine Materials.
Dew created this Special Custom Folder for the USN Show. The entire knife has almost too many Special Features to showcase adequately.
The Frame is Stainless Steel with a Carbon Fiber and Faux Turtle Shell Overlay Treatment. There are Windows cut into the exterior showing the Faux Turtle Shell Underlayment.
The Hand Ground Blade is Dark Acid Washed OU-31 with a Duplex Grind and Kiridashi Tip. The Blade even has Matching Cutout with a Faux Turtle Shell Insert. The Pivot is made of Hammered Brass.
This is a Liner Lock Flipper design with a nice Heft to it due to the Brass and Stainless Construction. The Complicated Grinds on the Blade are especially nice.
The Flipping action of this knife is incredibly smooth due to the Caged Bearings and Excellent Balance of the Blade. The Liner Lock is Very Secure and smooth to release.
The ergonomics of this knife are wonderful, with a Solid / One Piece Stainless Steel frame that has excellent Texturing and a Matching Hammered Brass Backspacer.
An extreme Deep Set Titanium Pocket clip allows this knife to ride out of sight! The Clip is Marked with Dew’s Name and this is the Last One of this Limited Edition series ~ 15 of 15.
