Dew Hara grew up helping his famous Knife Maker Father, Koji Hara. Koji and Dew are known World Wide for their Art knives with detailed Hand Work and fine Materials.
This Dew Hara Ray has almost too many Special Features to showcase adequately. The Solid Copper handle overlays have Dew’s amazing NEW Suminagashi Cloud finish with beautiful Mother of Pearl Inlays. I struggled to capture the true Fire and Opalescence in these Mother of Pearl inlays, but I could not do them justice. These will appear much more beautiful in person!
“Suminagashi Cloud” is a very Labor Intensive process created by research over about two years and is a characteristic pattern reminiscent of fluttering clouds and mottled marble. The Handle Overlays are shadow boxed on top of Mirror Polished Stainless Liners.
The M390 Blade has a Custom Two Tone finish, the Flats are Hand Rubbed and the Bevels have a flawless Mirror Polish. This Flipper has impeccable Fit and Finish, and the Flipping action is extremely smooth due to the Caged Bearings and Excellent Balance of the Blade.
The Liner Lock is Very Secure and smooth to release.
Even the Copper Backspacer has a Custom Suminagashi Cloud Finish.
The matching Mirror Polished stainless Pocket clip is set for tip up carry and it has Dews Name and the Serial Number Subtle etched into the surface.
