Dew Hara grew up helping his famous Knife Maker Father, Koji Hara. Koji and Dew are known World Wide for their Art knives with detailed Hand Work and fine Materials.
This is a beautiful Compact Design from Dew, a Gorgeous Copper Money Clip / Flipper called the KAO. This is a small Liner Lock Flipper design. TheFlipping action of this Dew Hara Kao takes some practice, the action is smooth due to the Caged Bearings and Excellent Balance of the Blade.
Dew created this Special Custom Money Clip Flipper to both please the eye and to conceal the Hidden Blade. The entire Copper handle has a gorgeous “HIDO” finish that is a lovely scarlet color made by Heating Pure Copper and polishing it to the limit then Quenching it in a special solution. The Dark Leaf Inserts in the Handle are Darkened Titanium!

The HIDO Finish is not a perfect finish, due to the Hand Made Nature of this process there may be some tiny areas on the Surface of the Handle where the color appears lighter or appears to have tiny spots. The Blade is Dew’s Proprietary “Aurora Finished” Mirror Polished 15 layer San Mai – VG-10 Core Damascus that has been etched and has Incredible Color and Pattern. The Blade has small matching Leaf Cutouts in the Flats to match the cutouts on the handle.
The Liner Lock is Very Secure and smooth to release.
The Artistic Titanium Pocket clip is Anodized Gold and doubles as a Money Clip.
This Dew Hara Kao is marked under the clip with Dew’s Name and the Serial Number 018.
