Corrie Schoeman

I was lucky enough to meet Corrie at the NYCKS this year.  I had been aware of his work for many years as he had been featured in the KNIVES Annuals several times and his work is very popular at the Art Knife Shows throughout the US.  When he introduced me to his work his precision fit and finish astounded me, however the pricing for such high Quality knives with rare and exotic materials I found phenomenal.  I will be offering on my website several custom Folders at Corrie’s table/show prices.

Fort Henry Custom Knives is proud to be a direct Dealer for Corrie Schoeman custom knives

Direct from the Maker from the NYCKS 2011

This elegant linear designed Gentleman’s knife has so many intricate details that it is hard to list them all, this is one of those works of art that has be held to be fully appreciated.

The Spine/Tang of the blade has been carved and this provides the Friction area for thumb opening the blade. The thick 20,000 year old Fossilized Mammoth Bone has been contoured and overlayed onto not one but two layers of Titanium.  The Interior Ti layer has been anodized and Fileworked!

The Mokume for the Custom Hidden Pivot was made by Ettore Gianfarrari.

The unique Damascus for the blade was commissioned by Corrie to match this design and was Forged by reknowned South African Steel Master Bertie Rietveld.

The Backspacer has also been completely fileworked and a beautiful faceted Ruby has been inset into the upper section.

Truly a one of a kind work of art ~ with an Edge!
