There are lots of standard models in the Dozier line up and each have aspects in common, ie. Full Tang, Handle shape, etc. And of course if you want something truly unique from Bob, he hand crafts a line that are first cousins to the Traditional Loveless drop point with only the best handle materials, elegantly tapered, highly polished, wonderful to hold and behold and start at about $950.
Bob allowed me to Custom Order this one many months ago, I chose this incredible Non Catalog Handle Material and a Classic Handle shape with a Birds Beak Butt.
This Loveless Style Blade has a Very Crisp, High Hollow Grind and the blade is a Robust .155 Thick with a proprietary Heat Treatment from the “Dr. of D2”
This one has Subtle Black Liners under the beautiful handle scales. Also, the handles of this special Model are More Rounded and full in the Center with a comfortable Concave shape near the Butt.
But the most striking thing about this knife is of course the amazing, Stabilized Curly Maple handle scales. Perfectly matched, they have incredible Grain and beautiful Chatoyance when rotated back and forth in the light.
