Bob isn’t making many Folding knives days, so I was extremely glad to pick up this Rare Folder at the Blade Show. A Classic Dozier Folding Design with a Special Dual Ground Tactical blade and some Incredible Dyed Wooly Mammoth Scales.
Extremely Solid build, tough enough for any Camp or Game chore. The thick D2 Blade on this Folder glides open smoothly using the RH Thumb Stud. Bob used to make a slimmer Tactical Model with this blade shape (called the Thorn), but this example combines the Folding Hunter size and shape with the Thorn Tactical Blade.
The integral Thumb Ramp on this Dozier folder has Security Ridges that rise just above the handle scales, just enough to enhance the grip. Thick Titanium Liners add superior strength to the frame but very little weight.
The lock one this one is Very Early and Strong! Bob milled out a small section of the Mammoth handle and opposite side Frame to allow for easy access to the RH Thumbstud.
This Dozier Folder is smooth and rugged at the same time. A Rare Custom Dozier direct from the hands of a Living Legend of the custom Knife World.
