This knife is one of a RARE FEW Dozier Classics that were marked with Bob’s Classics Maker’s Mark
In Bob’s Classic line, the hidden tang is a full one-half inch wide and is completely heat-treated to gain the maximum properties that can be had from the steel. A rectangular slot is machined in the handle to perfectly fit the tang. This eliminates the need to fill up the extra space with epoxy. Then just the necessary amount of epoxy, along with a brass nut secure the handle for a lifetime of hard use.
This Dozier Clip Point Hunter has a Gorgeous Stabilized Ironwood handle with G-10 and Brass Spacers. The Brass Guard is expertly Silver Soldered so no moisture has access to inside the handle.
The wide Skinning blade is 1 1/8″ wide with a Deep Custom Clip near the tip to reduce the forward weight. This knife is marked Serial #5 of only 10 ever made.
The Sambar Stag Butt cap on this Dozier Clip Point Hunter has some nice Grain and it has been comfortably sculpted to rest against the back of the palm. This knife was built to stand up to years of use and with proper care will last a lifetime.
