I have been a Dealer of Dozier knives for over a decade.  I was very pleased when Bob called me to offer Fort Henry Custom Knives this very special Classic Springfield Fighter. The Springfield Fighting knife was the blade a man carried during his 1940’s war time service if he wanted an edge in hand to hand combat. 

   This is the first in a series that Bob plans to create which are inspired by classic WWII knives.  The overall dimensions are true to the Original Springfield fighter. In the picture above you can just make out the Double Grind in the blade, this provides a thicker tip for penetration strength.  

This particular knife is unique from all the others in the Series in that it has a Brass Double Guard and a matching Brass Cuttcap.  This is only 1 of 2 that Bob has made this way, the other is still Bob’s Shop!  

A Custom Dozier Stamp identifies each of the knives in this Series. 

  The thick Shoulder Hide Leather sheath for this knife was crafted to be 50% thicker than the orginal but the Snaps are exactly like the Originals.  The Original size Stone pouch on the front carries a Double Grit Sharpening stone.
