Here is a Rare Swiss Police Issue knife produced by Lion Steel. A big, Solid folder called the PM-1 ~ however, this example has an added feature of Custom Scales by Cuscadi
There were only 100 of this knife produced in accordance with requirements given to Lion Steel by the Swiss Police that were made available to the Civilian market.
The Blade has a unique and complex grind and is made of PVD Coated Sleipner steel – Sleipner is a high alloyed Tool Steel ideal for replacing D2 where chipping might be a problem.
Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is a process where a metal vapor is deposited on electrically conductive materials as a thin highly adhered pure metal or alloy coating. PVD is considered one of the most durable new Coatings on the market!
The Custom Scales are a beautiful well matched set of Stabilized Amboyna Burl, they have gorgeous alternating colors and lots of natural grain.
The scales were uniformly 3d machined for an exact fit. The knife has a full backspacer with Grip Notches on the rear and a Glass Breaker Tip on the butt.
Excellent fit and finish and feels extremely solid in the hand.
The sound of the strong and reliable lock of this knife is very distinctive. It comes with a custom Tool to adjust the Pivot and Rotate the Clip.
Complete with Original G-10 Scales, Cordura Belt Sheath, Custom Pivot Tool and Paperwork.
