Zubeng Forge is a Smithy in the heart of China, Master Rich Chen uses an Ancient formula to create true Tamahagane steel for his swords and knives. Making Tamahagane steel is a long and labor intensive process which starts with select Iron Sand and other Natural materials that are found in only a few places in the world.

Master Chen gave me a piece of the actual Tamahagane Steel he makes ~ this slab is as it appears “In Process”
This is a Hand Forged, Full Convex, Laser Sharp blade, crafted by Master Chen from the same hand made Tamahagane steel as his Custom Chinese swords.
A beautiful Hamon clearly defines the harder cutting edge from the Softer spine and is distinctly visible in all true Tamahagane pieces.
This blade was created as a Kit blade, crafted for the individual who in interested in old world craftsmanship and combining authentic hand crafted steel to a unique, personal handle.
The Stick Tang is approx 1/4″ Thick
And Graduates from 1/4″ to 1/2″ Wide (from End to Tang area)
No two hand forged blades are alike. the Hamon may vary slightly from the pic.
