Once in a great while I have time to walk around a Knife Show to see what catches my eye. Even more rare is when I find myself drawn back to a New Makers Table a second or third time. Yet that is exactly what happened at the NYCKS.
I introduced myself to Michael Zieba and we began discussing his work. As he described his extensive artistic background and his knife making techniques, I took the time to examine his knives VERY closely. Upon inspection it was easy to see the passion and fine detailed dedication that he put into each of his creations ~ whether it was High End Custom Chef’s knives, exquisite Hand Carved Knife Display Boxes or Hard Use Cutting Tools for Emergency Personnel. I understood Michael’s philosophy, recognized his talent and felt compelled to share his unique creations with my customers.

All of Michael’s knives are crafted one at a time in his shop. Michael recently received a Distinctive Award ~ based in Brooklyn New York, Michael was selected from keen competition by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce as the sole Knife Making Recipient of the “BROOKLYN MADE ~ GOLD” Award

This is a one of Michael’s Tactical Tools, meant as the ULTIMATE Breaching Tool or Emergency Axe ~ the HUSSAR HAWK – Code Red
This super powerful tool was crafted from a Single Piece of CPM 3V ~ made to conquer any Prying, Chopping or Extracting Job ~ it is .415 Thick with a Multiple Heat Treat and Drawn for max toughness.
The Spike was left if almost its Full Thickness for Maximum ability to Puncture to start an Extraction.
The Blade of the Hawk has a Convex Grind for Max Durability and ease of Sharpening. A Taper down to the Beard allows for finer cutting ability when necessary.
Michael is a perfectionist and designed each part of this Tool with a purpose ~ The handle has Custom Red G-10 Overlays with Deep Contouring for an extremely secure Grip even under adverse conditions.
A Tool designed to tackle Extreme situations, the Handle is curved to direct more Cutting Power to the Head when Chopping. The Butt is Left at Full Thickness and has a Large Lip for Prying.

This knife comes complete in a Custom Fitted Kydex Sheath (with a Soft Liner) with a Tough Rubber Strap and Pull Dot Snap.
