Michael Szczegot is a young maker from Poland. Known for his Rugged Outdoor, Hunting and Tactical designs, this example of his work showcases his talent.
This is the Modus Model ~ available today at The Fort!
The Hand Ground blade on this Szczegot Warrior was crafted from Super Strong O2 steel and given a Cryogenic Quench. This steel has properties that make it unique among High Carbon Steels. It excels at Toughness and is widely known as a Superior Performer. It has a good amount of Carbon and a Higher Chromium content plus the addition of Vanadium for Stain Resistance. Given an Expert Heat Treat and Cryogenic Quench by Michael, it will excel at Edge Retention.
The blade measures a respectable .190″ Thick and is 1 5/8″ Wide in the center. It has a Glass Bead Blasted finish and an extremely Deep Fuller / Swedge that reduces the Forward Weight of the blade, making it very fast in the hand. This Hand Ground blade would make an excellent Slicer!
The Handle Scales on this Szczegot Modus are a supremely Tough Micarta that have a Custom Hand Sculpted Surface texture for an enhanced grip. The Scales are attached with Torx Screws and Michael gave the the handle a Contoured Hand Filling Shape. The Handle also has a Skull Crusher Pommel.
This is a knife that will tackle all Difficult Cutting or Light Camp chores with ease. The Ergonomic handle shape is very Comfortable and allows for Light Chopping.
The knife comes with a Secure, Custom Molded Kydex Belt Sheath
The Removable Cordura / Kydex Drop Loop on this Szczegot Modus allows you to change / add other Mounting Hardware such a Titanium Mummert Pocket / Pants Clip (Sold HERE) or Tek-Lok (included) should you prefer. Free Paracord Lanyard also included.
A true top shelf package ~ includes a Hand Signed COA, FREE Velcro Patch and Tube of Blade Protectant
