I have been collecting knives for many years but long before I was a collector and an online Knife Dealer I was a knife user. When looking for great using knives I sought out the best “Bang for the Buck” and this knife falls into that category.
This design hails from 16th Century Bohemia and Bovaria. This type of folding knife is one of the earliest known designs and similiar knives have been found in ancient Rome and other parts of the world.
The Tang folds back into the handle, a good grip and the force of the forward cutting helps to keep the blade in place.
These blades are forged from 1055 high Carbon Steel with some of the Forge Scale left on for authenticity. A convex grind which makes it a super Cutter.
Popular with Rendezvous folks, Reenactors and those looking for a knife like their ancestors might have used.
