Description

Mitch Jenkins

A friend and student of S. R. (Steve) Johnson and John Young.

Knife making history started when Steve Johnson was a young man in Gil Hibben’s Scout troop, that was when Steve made his first knife. Years later, young Mitch was in Steve Johnson’s Scout troop when he recreated history and made his first knife.

Mitch has dedicated himself to creating impeccable knives just like his mentor and his friend.

Fort Henry Custom Knives is proud to be a Dealer for Mitch Jenkins

Direct from the Maker from the ECCKS 2013

This is a pattern Mitch was able to get direct from Bob’s shop, his interpretation of the Chute knife.

The 3/16″ Thick blade has a bold Bowie shaped blade has a top Clip Swedge on the blade spine that is unsharpened.  Also, the slight Recurve blade was something Bob added to his Chute design.  The beautiful Aged Amber Sambar Stag handles are the best of any I have seen from Mitch ~ he told me these were provided from Steve Johnson’s personal stash ~ well matched and of even thickness on each side.

Mitch has applied a beautiful Mirror finish to the entire blade, a Tapered Tang, Red Fiber Liners, Lined Thong hole, all superbly done.

Provided with a Hand Stitched heavy leather sheath also made by Mitch.

A rare package from this extremely talented Maker.
