TOSA Traditional Japanese Hunting Knife
This is a knife that I have owned for at least 10 years. I love ethnic knives and it was not hard to spot the Quality in this Traditional Japenese piece, the amazing sharpness of the Laminated Carbon Steel blade and comfort of the handle are just two attributes that stand out.
The thick Forged blade has a near perfect grind and has been expertly sharpened by the Maker on increasing Grits of Japanese Water Stones in order to bring out the Hamon that shows the differential Heat Treatment of the steel. The Tang has been inserted deep into the wooden handle and sealed to prevent moisture intrusion.
The Sheath is a traditional Outdoorsmans wooden Saya with a Leather Belt look and Snap enclosure.
This knife was most Forged by Tosa, I am the original owner and it has never been used, sharpened or carried.
