  I have been a Dealer for Herb Derr Custom knives for over a decade, long before I had a website I sold Herb’s knives at Gun & Knife Shows, most often to repeat Customers.  Herb’s pieces are sole authorship ~ he forges his own Damascus, grinds his own blades, makes his own Leather Sheaths and still finds time to Teach courses at a Community College on how to make Damascus.

  Here is a Perfect EDC sized Clip Point Hunter from Herb that has his Hand Forged ~ Sole Authorship Bird’s Eye Damascus. Herb makes VERY FEW Clip Points ~ I have only had 4 in the past 6 years! 

 This is a great looking knife with artistic attributes, but I guarantee it will perform as good as it looks.  

 Herb explained that his high contrast Raindrop Carbon Damascus blades have over 2,500 layers. The knife has a comfortable Full Grip handle of Fossilized Walrus Jaw Bone ~ on the underside, you can even see the Socket where the Walrus Molar once sat.

 In this particular example you can still see the Natural deposits and gnarly character of the Bone as the Fossilization took place.  The Rare Spalted Oak Forward Spacer adds a bit of contrasting color.  

 On this knife Herb has also added some Vine Filework on almost the entire length of the Spine which looks great but serves a dual purpose of also replacing Thumb Ridges for grip enhancement. 

The handle is flanked by Nickel Silver Spacers aon the Front and Rear and the Beautiful Stabilized Spalted Oak spacer makes an overall wonderful handle appearance.

The Heavy Leather RH Leather Belt sheath has an Exotic Lizard Skin as the inlay. 

Herb also added some Custom Tooling around the mouth of the Sheath. Deep, snug fit and a wonderful compliment to the knife.
