Dan does not make many knives these days and they are very hard to get!
Here is a very Rare Model that is hot off the Grinder, this is Dan’s Brend Skinner with a Full Flat Ground Blade
Walter Brend and Dan were discussing Walter’s designs at a show. Dan explained that he really liked Walter’s Skinner model, so Walter generously offered to let Dan use this classic design for his own.
Dan Hand Ground the 5″ blade with Full Height Flat Grind and a late Distal Taper for fine work. Dan has been making knives for Over 25 Years and his Grinding Skills are among the best in the business!
Dan also chose to showcase this special model with some Incredible Desert Ironwood handle scales.
This Brend Skinner is a Tough, Full Tang knife with a wonderful Handle to Blade Ratio ~ the handle is generous in length and comfortably fills the palm.
With a Blade Thickness of .125, and using the Dozier Heat Treat formula that Dan learned from Bob ~ this beautiful knife will Cut like a Laser and will make short work of any Skinning or Slicing chores.
This Crotts Skinner is hair shaving sharp (as expected) and comes in a Custom Molded Vertical Right hand belt sheath made of Camo Kryptex.
