Gerry McGinnis

Fort Henry Custom Knives is proud to be a Dealer for Gerry McGinnis

Direct from the Maker from the USN G4 Gathering in Vegas

I am extremely proud to be debuting some of Gerry’s work here at the Fort!  Many consider Gerry one of the Prodigy’s of the knife making world, I have followed his rise over the last couple of years and now that he is making knives full time (Congratulations on his recently earned College Diploma) he is sure to move even further to the front of the pack of well know Makers.

This is Gerry’s Apex Flipper, a smooth refined design, but definitely a full size powerhouse in an extremely light weight package – due to the Carbon Fiber and Titanium construction this knife barely tips the scales at 3.3 ounces!

The action is amazing, the Flipper has some nice Thumb Ridges on the deploying side which sends the blade out effortlessly.  The blade has a Hand Rubbed Satin finish and is .160 thick.

The Lock up is superb, exactly where you want it on a new folder, and the Lock Bar face has some nice texturing to assist in unlocking.

Gerry has hidden a Racing Stripe inside this sleek Sports model knife, he has added a smooth Blaze Orange G-10 backspacer for a dash of color.  Of course Gerrys Makers Mark is discreetly hidden inside the frame (as can be see if you look closely at this picture)

The entire Lock Side Titanium scale and the matching Custom Titanium pocket clip have a uniform Orange Peel finish.

I am glad to be working with Gerry and he and I will be bringing you more of his wonderful designs in the future.
