I was very fortunate to begin working with several South African Knife Makers many years ago, I am continually impressed with the Quality of their knives and the value they offer. In my journey as a knife dealer several SA Makers have introduced me to other SA Makers and the list of quality knives that I sell from that country continues to grow.
The newest addition to my website is South African Knife Makers Guild member Willem Steenkamp.
Willem is one of the most personable SA Makers I have met, he is a stickler for detail and strives for perfection. He has a passion for the craft that he exhibits in every knife he makes.

I hand picked this beauty from Willem’s table, I feel it is an exemplary value and wonderful fit and finish.
The design is sleek and extremely ergonomic – a true Drop Point in a very comfortable hand filling design.
The blade of this big hunter was hand ground from Bohler Uddeholm Nc690 Stainless steel. It has a very high Hollow Grind, a Distal Taper, fine point and is Razor Sharp!
The Nc690 steel quickly gaining popularity with American Makers, it is a very clean Austrian steel with a nice amount of Chromium to make it nearly maintenance free, it has an extremely clean Satin finish will allow the knife to be used and still look great.
Willem added some nice Thumb Ridges on the Spine, very comfortable. Thin Black Liners help to accent the color of the Blaze Orange G-10.
The shape and size of the handle allows for a secure grip.
Provided with a thick Left Hand Leather Belt Sheath, the knife fits deep and securely, no chance of the knife accidentally falling out.
