A friend and student of S. R. (Steve) Johnson and John Young. Steve Johnson was a young man in Gil Hibben’s Scout troop when he made his first knife. Years later, young Mitch was in Steve Johnson’s Scout troop when he recreated history and made his first knife. Mitch has dedicated himself to creating impeccable knives just like his mentor and his friend.
Here is a Loveless pattern that Mitch built that can be easily carried and used for any Woods, Field or Stream chores.
The handle scales are beautiful Aged Sambar Stag which have wonderful depth and lots of gnarly grain. They provide a full grip and the shape of the handle is very comfortable.
The blade is a full 1/8″ Thick with a Full Height Hollow Grind and an impeccable Mirror polish, it also has a gently Tapered Tang with full Red Fiber Liners. The Soldering of the Tang (which many Makers do not attempt) is so well done that it appears to be one piece of steel.
Mitch also makes his own Hand Stitched heavy leather sheaths.
Previously owned but never used, carried or sharpened.
May have some tiny storage marks.
