The laws of knife carry in South Africa are very strict, not allowing for any mechanism whatsoever to be used to “assist” the blade open, not a hole, not a stud, not a disk. So the Knife Makers from that country have used their ingenuity to create a unique way of creating a Liner Lock that can be opened one handed.

This is J.D.’s version of a Liner Lock, Front Flipper
This knife is the perfect size for EDC. The Clip Point blade was hand ground from tough N690 Stainless steel.
The blade opens very smoothly and I have personally seen JD open this type of blade one handed as quickly as any Automatic! The unique handle material is a special Diamond Wood .
Johann has added a Titanium Backspacer over the strong Titanium Liner.
The Thumb Ridges on the spine of the blade are what allows the user to open the blade one handed!
The Lock up is spot on and releases smoothly.
