Dew Hara is now 41 years old and grew up helping his famous Knife Maker Father, Koji Hara. Koji and Dew are known World Wide for their Art knives with detailed Hand Work and fine Materials.
This is one of the Most Affordable of Dew’s Knives that I have seen.
Dew created this Raikiri Prototype in 2016.
The Frame is Stainless Steel with an Antiqued Duralumin Handle Scales with Gold Titanium Insert.
The Hand Ground Blade is ATS-34 with a High Hollow Grind and Custom Two Tone Finish. The Flats have a Pebbled Texture while the Bevels are Flawlessly Mirror Polished.
This is a Liner Lock Flipper design with a nice Heft to it due to the Construction. The Grinds on the Blade are especially nice.
The Flipping action of this knife is incredibly smooth due to the Caged Bearings and Excellent Balance of the Blade. The Liner Lock is Very Secure and smooth to release.
The ergonomics of this knife are wonderful with excellent Texturing and a Stonewashed Matching Backspacer.
A Deep Set Titanium Pocket clip allows this knife to ride Tip Up and out of sight! The Gold Titanium insert is Marked with Dew’s Name and this is the Prototype and is marked “01” on the inside of the backspacer.
A true precision crafted knife you will want to show off!
