Cobble Blade is a small Custom Workshop in the Ukraine who Specializes in hand crafting Fixed Blade / Outdoor knives and Axes. They do not use any CNC / Computers and they craft each of their blades one at a time entirely within their shop.
Here is a Medium to Large Game Skinner ~ an Excellent all around Outdoor blade.
This design dates back to the mid 1800’s when the Green River Skinner was the knife every Frontiersman & Buffalo Hunter wanted. The Indians also liked this blade for is Scalping ability!
However, this modern example seems light years ahead of its ancestor. This is a knife that will do Light Chopping as well as excelling at all manner of Skinning chores and Jointing even the largest Trophy Animal!
This is a Tough, Full Tang design, .185 Thick ~ Hand Ground from M390 Steel which is an Extremely Popular new Super steel.
The M390 Blade has a Dark Stonewash Finish and the Spine has a Unique Hand Applied Flint Napped texture.
Professional Heat Treat provides a very respectable 61 on the Rockwell chart. Perfect Full Height Grind and Razor Sharp edge!
Thick Orange, White & Black G-10 handle scales have a Three Dimensional Carving and Perimeter Traction Grooves to channel Dirt and Moisture away from the middle of the handle. This will provide a sure grip even under other than ideal conditions.
The Custom Full Size Handle Shape melts into your Palm. It has a slightly elongated Butt and a Deep Forward Finger Guard, these combine to make an Extremely Secure and Comfortable Grip.
