Aleksandr Afonchenko is a young maker from the Ukraine. Known for his EDC, Bushcraft and Hunting designs as well as his attention to detail, this example of his work showcases his talent.
This is Aleksandr’s popular Xyber Model – a knife that blends Traditional and Modern.
The Hand Ground blade was crafted from High End Crucible Particle Metallurgy CPM 3V steel and given a Cryogenic Quench. This steel has properties that make it unique among modern steels; it excels at Toughness and is widely known as a Superior Performer. It has a good amount of Carbon and a Higher Chromium and Vanadium content which puts it at the top of the Stainless Category.
The Blade has a Dual Satin Finish with a Near Full Height Flat Grind and a Distal Taper. It measures a Robust .145 Thick and I am sure it would cut like a laser!
The Handle was crafted from unique Blue Black Carbon Fiber and Mosaic Pins.
Alexandr gave the Handle Scales some Custom Contouring with a Thick Blue G-10 Liners.
Aleksandr does excellent work and once this knife is Sold it will be several months before I can get another.

The knife comes with a Secure, Custom Molded Blue Concealex Sheath
This Sheath also has a Removable Drop Belt Loop attachment ~ so that you can add other Mounting Hardware should you prefer.
