Your account privacy is important to us. Any information collected through this site when you are submitting an order will not be distributed or sold to 3rd Parties.
You can shop at Fort Henry Custom Knives with confidence. We have partnered with Atlantic Merchant, to accept credit cards and electronic check payments safely and securely for our customers.
Email Alert / Notification
If you are looking for a knife from a specific maker or want to be notified when new items are added to a certain category, our Automated Email Notification system will promptly and automatically send you an email when an item is posted in the category you are interested in. Simply sign up for the category you wish to be notified about or signup up for multiple categories. It’s easy and we will never sell your information.
Inventory
While I would like to be able to accommodate every request for extra pictures, Model search from a particular Maker, first dibs on a certain knife, inventory lists from certain Makers, etc. – to do this for one person would be unfair to all of my customers. I list a wide variety of fixed blades Monday through Thursday and custom folding knives each Friday (FOLDER FRIDAY). The best way to find something you are looking for is to check the website often and sign up for the Email Notifications.

LAYAWAY
I offer FREE Lay A Way ~ No Fees, No Interest, No Penalty for early payoff. Available on all knives with a selling price greater than one hundred ($100) dollars.
– The knife may be held on LAW for up to ninety (90) days past the purchase date.
– Shipping cost and any applicable taxes are added to the first Lay A Way payment.
How it works:
On the product screen, select the layaway option before placing the item in your cart.
A total of Twenty-five percent (25%) of the total cost will be paid at the time of checkout. We will follow up by sending you a layaway invoice that includes a payment schedule and additional payment options. Thereafter, twenty-five percent (25%) is due each thirty (30) days with the balance due before ninety (90) days have elapsed. Shipping costs and taxes are added to your initial payment at checkout. A payment schedule will be provided but it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure payments are made/received on time.
– A customer may have up to three (3) items on Lay A Way at any time. If more than one item is placed on Lay A Way, all payments for all items must be current before any one item can be paid off and shipped.
– All payments must be received before the date designated on the LAW Invoice for that payment. NOTE: Payments are NOT automatic. You must return to our website or use the link provided to make each of your payments unless you contact us to set up automatic payments for you.
Early Pay Off
If you would like to complete payment and receive your knife early there is no penalty for early payoff. Contact me at any time during the Lay A Way period to coordinate the payoff of your Lay A Way item(s).
Cancellation / Change
If at any time during the lay-a-way process a customer;
– Decides to exchange the item on Lay A Way for another item
– Decides to cancel the Lay A Way purchase
– Misses a payment (a grace period of 48 hours is given)
A refund or exchange will be made minus a Cancellation / Exchange Fee of 25% of the total value of the item being taken off layaway. The item(s) will be placed back up for sale. Refunds will be tendered by Check or back to your credit card/Pay Pal.

Shipping Policy
Update:
In the face of the challenges posed by the current global COVID-19 situation, all Shipping Carriers are striving to maintain a reliable delivery service. However, due to Cancelled Flights, Govt Regulations, or Shipper Staff shortages, ~ Shipping Delays should be expected.
We will continue to provide our customers with accurate order and tracking information for their purchase. However, after a package has been surrendered to the shipper, any further updates can only be provided by that shipper per direct request from the customer.
Domestic
Completed Orders are normally shipped the following business day.
Every time you place an order, you may choose the shipping method using the online ordering process. The costs are Flat Rate depending on the method. Our default method of shipping is FedEx. USPS Priority Mail will be used for items going to International, PO Box or Military APO/FPO addresses.
International
I gladly accept orders from all around the globe. International Orders are Insured while inside US Borders ONLY, once the package has left the US the customer accepts responsibility if the package is lost, stolen or damaged in transit. The customer understands that International Orders have no coverage of loss or damage once the package is outside the US.
Shipping rates and fees may vary depending on the delivery address for your order. To see the shipping rate information specific to your order’s destination, use my automated checkout feature and choose a shipping method.
Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. These charges are always the recipient’s responsibility. I would like my international customers to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
In most cases the actual cost of shipping is greater than the amount you pay, if this happens we do not ask you to pay extra to cover the difference. Conversely, if the actual shipping cost is less than the amount you paid we do not refund the difference.
Ordering and Returns
Ordering
All items are sold on a First Come, First Served basis. My online ordering system is available 24 – 7. All completed orders are normally shipped the following business day after 3 PM EST. By placing an order online you are agreeing to ALL the terms and policies of this business and you accept full legal responsibility for owning the items purchased.
Requests to hold knives via email or phone cannot be guaranteed.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase to notify me within 48 hours of receipt of the knife.
If there is a problem with the production/function of a knife I will contact the Maker and assist you to get the issue resolved.
Order Cancellation (before Shipping)
Do the Automated Ordering process we utilize, the numerous Orders we process each day and the dozens of emails and phone calls I field each day I cannot guarantee to cancel any order before it shipped.
When a customer pays for an order that item is removed from Inventory and thus unavailable to other Customers who would purchase it at that time.
Due to an increasing volume of “Buyers Remorse” Cancelled Orders ~ AS OF 1 Jan 2019 – A 10% Order Cancellation / Restock Fee will be assessed to any Order placed and then subsequently canceled before shipping. This Fee will only partially cover the Order Processing (two ways), Inventory adjustment and Accounting regulation.
My advice is – do not place an item in your Cart you are not going to purchase.
Returns
Occasionally there will be a knife listed on the site that is NOT available for return, this will be clearly noted at the bottom of the Description page and will state “Sold AS IS” or perhaps “Not Available for Return”.
CREDIT
An item may be returned for any reason within 48 hours and you may receive Store Credit for the purchase price. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Once the Credit is applied (after the receipt of the Returned Item) that amount may be used to purchase any item on the website. A max of 10% difference may be returned with a re-purchased item (ie. a $100 Credit allows for the purchase of a $90 item and a $10 Refund will also be included).
Choosing Store credit allows you to return any item and select something now or in the future. Store credits are usable for up to 180 days after return. Funds are forfeited after 364 days.
REFUND
*Returns for Refund are subject to a 20% Restock Fee. This Restock Fee is a low estimate of Order Processing (two ways), Inventory control, Shipping & Packing, Inspection, and Accounting.
RECEIVED
The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received and it must be received by me via an Insured method of shipping within 5 days of the initial Return notification. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
I make every effort to describe the knives I sell as accurately as possible. If there was an error in the description of the Condition of the knife, once I have received the knife in return I will verify the Condition issue and the Restocking fee will be waived. Errors of Knife Specifications (ie. Blade Steel or Blade Length) in the description may occur and returns because of description error will incur a Restock Fee.
** If a knife is returned due to a subjective characteristic such as Flipping action, detent variation, inadequate sharpness, the actual color to online picture variation, the blade being off-center, poor hand fit, incorrect Box, etc. – the Restock Fee will apply.
I do not guarantee the durability of any natural handle material.
Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method.
Payment Options (U.S. Customers)
- PayPal – pay with your personal PayPal account. If your payment is flagged as Pending / Under Review by PayPal the item you are trying to purchase WILL NOT be removed from Stock until payment clears.
- Credit Card – Pay with your VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express using our onsite Checkout/Cart. A 3% Surcharge is added to all Credit Card payments. This is passing a portion of the fees we pay on to the customer. (Debit Cards to not incur a Surcharge)
- ACH (Bank Draft) – pay with your personal checking or savings account.
- Personal Check, Money Order – You may send payment via USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Payments must be received within 5 days of the Purchase Date.
- WESTERN UNION – IF you are a RETURNING CUSTOMER in Good Standing, you may Pay WU online or at your nearest WU office. I will pick up the payment at the WU office nearest me. WU charges a fee for this service which you will need to pay.
- Lay-a-way / Installment – if you would like to use this option and make Monthly payments please review my Lay-a-way policy. No Fee, No Interest

- Lay-a-way / Installment – if you would like to use this option and make Monthly payments please review my Lay-a-way policy. A Fee of 3.5% will be added to the total of each Order.
*IMPORTANT – NEW Customers – I no longer accept any form of online Payment that is connected to a free, web-based, or e-mail forwarding address. The customer must provide an ISP or Domain-based email address as well as a working Telephone number. Further, if you are a Domestic Customer using your Pers CC the Shipping address and the address on CC must match – all will be verified before shipment of any order. If you are a returning Customer please email me for any exceptions.
