I love history, I am extremely fond of knives that are made to resemble the tools that Pioneers and Early Americans relied on for every day survival. This genre of knife making takes alot of research and skill with various materials to accomplish successfully and I am always excited to see a Knife Makers’ work who has gotten it just right!
I want to introduce to you Ted Taylor. Ted has been crafting knives for several years and makes everything from Bowies and Fighters to everday working knives, but in my opinion Ted does the Period style especially well. I just received several knives from Ted and I know you will really enjoy seeing his work.

Brand New ~ Just Received from the Maker
This is a wonderful Native American Companion design that Ted has created with unique attention to detail.
Perfect for Reenactors or anyone attending a Rendezvous.
This is a 3/4 Tang Hunting knife that will perform as good as it looks. The handle is Stabilized Impala Leg Bone, it has a very authentic look and feel with lots of gnarly grain and texture.
The handle is extremely comfortable, the perfect size for a medium full finger grip.
The Blade is of course Epoxied and Pinned into the handle. The Tang area of the blade is covered with some Thick Aged Leather Stripping.
The 1095 High Carbon Steel blade has been Differentially Heat Treated and given a high Hollow Grind.
The unique aged Patina gives the blade just the right look.
The Sheath is a work of art unto itself; Ted Wet Molded and Custom fit the Thick Leather and Rawhide Lace sheath directly to the knife. Note the Trade Beads on the extended Leather lacing.
This is just the first of a group of special knives I have received from Ted but it is clearly evident that Ted really captures the true Frontier flavor with his work.
