This is a very special Custom piece I just received from Derrick, a rare Copper Darkness .45 Zippo Lighter
This Armour Zippo Lighter is approx 30% thicker than a standard Zippo, it has a Solid Copper Body with Custom Ancient Acid finish and tons of custom enhancements created by Derrick.
First a Federal .45 Shell top has been given a Custom Bronze Finish and adorns the Top.
Also a thick Bronze Corner Lug and a New Solid Copper Ancient Dragon Bead has been added.
But the most striking addition is of course Derrick’s Darkness Skull on the body.
The Darkness Skull is a very thick Custom Copper Sculpture that rises almost 3/8″ off the body ~ an eerie 3D effect it appears to be coming out of the Darkness!
The Designer – Derrick Obatake born and raised in East Los Angeles has been designing and making jewelry for over 35 years. At an early age he was taught to be a machinist by his father. He is a Graduate Gemologist from GIA and has had formal training in traditional jewelry arts: Diamond setting, model making, casting, finishing and fabrication. He has extended experience in Die striking, and 3D CAD design.
