Once in a great while I get lucky, I get excited by a new knife I find or in this case ~ a brand new Maker.
John and I met over a year ago at the New York Custom Knife Show. He and started chatting and he mentioned he made knives and was working on his first designs. I asked to see them and when I did I was blown away! I immediately recognized that these knives were quality pieces that were going to explode onto the knife making scene!
During the last year he has been refining design and has recently completed the first Prototypes ~ I am very proud to introduce his work here on The Fort. We are going to see great things from this new Maker!

Just Received ~ Direct from the Maker
This is one of John’s first Prototypes, making its debut at The Fort is a Wolf in Sheeps Clothing, this beast is called the G~II
The thick Solid Titanium frame has been expertly contoured for a wonderfully ergonomic full grip. The Thumb access is perfectly aligned to allow easy opening using the Dual thumbstuds.
The CTS-XHP blade has a Full Flat Grind! The blade also has a Labor Intensive Hand Rubbed satin finish.
The design of this knife has hard use in mind, the Angle of the blade edge in relation to handle is meant to provide plenty of Finger/Hand clearance when using the cutting edge.
John has placed his Makers Mark on the Spine of the Thick CTS-XHP Blade.
John has experimented on this Prototype by applying what he calls his Tree Bark Finish to the entire thick Titanium Frame, this adds durability if used and also provides a subtle enhanced texture.
The Integral Full Finger Choil area allows for close up work. The thick Frame of this knife provides one of the strongest locks I have seen!
An innovative Design feature ~ the Oversized Pivot provides greater strength to the design but also serves as the Lock Bar Stop preventing stress on the Frame Lock from being pushed too far when disengaging.
The Thick Matching Titanium Clip is set for tip up carry.
I will say again that I am very pleased to be getting in on the ground floor of John’s knife making Career.
Some Makers look at their early work and cringe, as you can see John has started out setting the bar very high for himself ~ even then I know he will continue to improve!
