During the last year John has been refining his designs and expanding in his creative approach to knife making. I am very proud to feature his work here on The Fort. We are going to see great things from this new Maker!

This is Prototype of his G~II Extreme Wharncliff, it features many “Firsts” on a knife for John – I will highlight those Firsts in Orange.
The entire Solid Titanium frame has been completely rounded and contoured for a wonderfully ergonomic Full Grip. The RH Thumb Stud has been given a Custom Texture to assist in opening but on this knife John also used GTC style Bearings so the blade floats open using either of the Dual Thumb Studs!
The CTS-XHP blade has a Dark Tumbled & Acid Wash finish, a Progressive Chisel Grind in an Exteme Wharncliff profile!
The design of this knife has hard use in mind, the Angle of the blade edge in relation to handle is meant to provide plenty of Finger/Hand clearance when using the cutting edge.
John applied a heavy orange peel finish to the entire thick Titanium Frame and backside of the Pivot, this adds durability if used and also provides a subtle enhanced texture.
The Integral Full Finger Choil area allows for close up work. The thick Frame of this knife provides one of the strongest locks I have seen!
An innovative Design feature ~ the Customized Oversize Pivot provides greater strength to the design but also serves as the Lock Bar Stop preventing stress on the Frame Lock from being pushed too far when disengaging.
The Thick Matching Titanium Clip is set for tip up carry.
I will say again that I am very pleased to have gotten in on the ground floor of John’s knife making Career.
